2017 World Congress on Micro and Nano Manufacturing

A Joint Conference of ICOMM/4M/IFMM

March 27~30, 2017
Kaohsiung, Taiwan

The First World Congress on Micro and Nano Manufacturing is Held in Taiwan

National Taiwan University and MIRDC Lead Taiwan’s Micro and Nano Manufacturing Technology on the International Stage

With the support of the Ministry of Science and Technology and the DOIT, Ministry of Economic Affairs, National Taiwan University and MIRDC jointly host the World Congress on Micro and Nano Manufacturing at Kaohsiung Garden Villa from March 27 to the 30 th . Three experts from different fields of micro manufacturing are invited to give speeches about the development and trends of related technologies in different countries. In addition, 17 topics with a total of 114 papers are presented in the congress, which attracts nearly 150 participants from 17 countries.

This world congress is the first one in history to combine the three most important international conferences on micro and nano manufacturing technology, including International Conference on Micro Manufacturing (ICOMM), Multi-Material Micro Manufacture (4M), and International Forum on Micro Manufacturing (IFMM). By gathering micro manufacturing experts around the world, this congress will be the best platform for Taiwanese and international experts from different fields to exchange and share experiences, as well as for cultivating international cooperation.

The WCMNM is the biggest event in the international micro manufacturing society in 2017, and is also the joint achievement of cooperation among Taiwan’s industry, official, and academic sectors (including National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, Chung Yuan Christian University, National Chung Hsing University, and National Sun Yat-sen University). In addition to the academic presentations, small exhibits are also set up at the congress. Experts from different countries attending the congress are also invited to visit the micro fabrication laboratory and the electron beam additive manufacturing laboratory (one of the best laboratories in their respective field in Asia) in MIRDC, which are funded by the Ministry of Economic Affairs. Substantial discussion and technology exchange are expected in the congress and lab tour to promote Taiwan’s micro manufacturing development and research results onto the international stage.

(World Congress on Micro and Nano Manufacturing)。
